I love Santos!

Hi Everyone! I have been knitting a lot here because the cold weather helps to do so. I'm finishing a scarf for my daughter and intend to make a cushion because I have a little yarn. As I cannot make crochet because my eyes hurt, I will knit it. I have some old jeans leg for making cushions. I love making cushions from old jeans. Maybe I can make a knitting lace for the jeans cushion.  I think knitting is a magical work because we transform yarns into many things such as hats, socks, cushions, blankets, and so on. The person who invented it was a genius!

Here are some pictures from my hometown, Santos. I also love to take pictures all the time! I hope you like them! Have a nice week and thank you for your nice comments!!

  3. Your home town looks amazing, Sandra and I've really enjoyed looking at all your photos, what a great place to live. Love the information office in the old tram. Yes knitting is fascinating, watching all that length of yarn turn into something that is warm and useful - almost magical:)

    1. Thank you Rosie! Santos has become bigger than when I was a child. I used to say we could have a tea time in the avenue. I love crafts very much and knitting is very relaxing. I look at the skeins and then they turn into something useful, which is magical.

Have a nice week Rosie! Sandra

  4. Your home city is beautiful, Sandra. It's good to see the modern and old buildings (lovely tiled walls), trams, palm trees and the herons on the beach. You're blessed to live by the sea. I like to knit as it's very relaxing, although I just manage to do plain knitting.
    Have a good week Sandra!

    1. Thank you Linda! I love the sea very much! I knit only simple things. This was the first time I did a hat. Now I'm knitting a scarf. I will post the pictures of them with the pattern.

      Have a nice week, Sandra

  8. free as a bird.

    Spread Wings transcend borders
    without passport
    travel to faraway places
    dark skies change
    in heavenly blue.
    Silently gliding birds
    high above everything.
A man flies once in his life
    the familiar nest, keep dreaming
to be free as a bird.

  10. Hi,Sandra
Long time no see! How have you been? I think it is summer in your country now, also good time for knitting. right? The other day, I watched a TV documentary、which was telling about the history of a lot of Japanese people who moved to Brazil. Almost everything I saw on the documentary was new for me. I was very impressed with the real story. The TV program reminded me of you, of course!
    Have a happy day.

  11. Hi Tomoko, I'm glad to see you! My daughters were sick and I have been busy this time. Thanks for asking! We are in spring in Brazil, but the weather is a bit different this year. It has been raining for weeks and cold. We couldn't see the flowers yet. Yes, this is very true. The ship Kasato-maru brought many Japonese people to Brazil who dropped here in Santos and I think in Rio de Janeiro. My daughter did a beautiful school work many years ago and put the pictures of them. We have many Japosene close friends. There is a vet who said he only lent the pictures because it was me. He trust on me very much. I will do a post here about it. I will talk to them again.

Keep in touch. I love your pictures very much.
