New Project

I decided to post on Saturdays and this way I will not be so absent to post and visit bloggers friends.
Here it's the cake I've made on my daughter's birthday. It's a sponge cake with pinapple and coconut fillings, or your preference filling. On the top there are chocolate truffle or the Brazilian Brigadeiro.

My daughter asked me to make a hat for a trip she is going to take. So, after weeks looking for a pattern i finally found one that I liked and it is not difficult to knit.

Meanwhile I have made my first panettone,  but the yeast isn't good and it didn't double as expected. This is the first time Imake this recipe, so if i like it i am going to post the recipe. Unfortunately I have to remake it with a good yeast.

This is the hotel my gramma worked in the 1920's. Atlântico Hotel in Santos.

I took this photo when there was an exbition of old cars in Santos. This car is beautiful!

Our Lady of Fatima in Santos last year.

  1. Thank you for sharing a photo of your daughter's birthday cake. I'm sure it didn't last long as it looks delicious. I like the idea of putting the chocolate bars around it. You have done well to make a panettone and I'm sure next time it'll be even better. It was interesting to see the beautiful building where you grandmother worked in the 1920s and the vintage car. The statue of Our Lady of Fatima came to our area in Italy and was flown in by helicopter and taken in procession to the Abbey. We were on holiday there when this happened.
